We called for lunch to eat from the set lunch menu. There was not a lot to choose from but the waitress still had to go and find out what the soup of the day was. We ordered drinks with our food and one of us were given the wrong drink. This was sorted and the food came, although we had to remind the staff about the water. The food was great.When desert came the waitress again had to go and find out what desert of the day was. Another time, we ordered drinks and asked thec waiter what beer was on tap. He had to go and find out.As I said above, the food was great, but the experience was ket down by poor service

Lovely restaurant with plenty of outside space for when the weather allows it and nice large seating area. The dinner area has a large fireplace and a smaller log burner so get the smell of the wood and the homely atmosphere. We had Sunday roast and a burger while the kids had chicken nuggets and chips. Portions were good, food was tasty and prices were reasonable. The kids chicken nuggets had good size chunks of chicken and the vegetarian lentil pie was ok too. Service was fast. Parking is plentiful and free.
